The AyMINE licence model
The community edition
The AyMINE Framework community edition is provided free-of-charge under the GNU GPLv3 licence.
In a nutshell you can use the community edition anywhere and for any purpose as long you don't sell the code of the AyMINE. And of course, your code should stay under the GPL V3 licence as well.
What's in the community edition
The AyMINE Business Edition
The Business edition uses the core distributed under the GPL V3 licence but also includes the business functionality implemented above the framework.
The business modules are all modules except those that are not in the community edition.
The business modules are contract-based and the rights to use them, modify them or resell them is individually contract-based.
Licence necessary for developing its own commercial modules
The users of the community edition are not limited in the development and selling commercial modules based on the community edition. Everybody have the same rights to develop commercial modules as the AyMINE core team. However, the core module cannot be part of any contract and shall forever stay under the GPL V3 licence.
The AyMINE SaaS
The business functionality is provided in SaaS service model. The SaaS does not sell or provide licence to the source code of the model. The SaaS service model provides rights to use the business functionality of the business modules without any rights to the application or its source code. The SaaS is not a distribution of the application.
